Because of the forecasted cold weather on Saturday we are not going to spend the night up on Mt. Spokane. Plans will stay the same, just be shortened. You will still need to dress warmly, bring your 10 essentials in a day pack. No meals will be required for Saturday night or Sunday morning. Summer Camp

Looks like we’re going to Camp Morrison in McCall Id. We are going the week of July 18-23. They have a “mess hall”, showers and based on pictures a really nice camp setting on Payette Lake near McCall Idaho. They have 30 possible merit badge opportunities, including the Cullimore Program for scouts age 13 +, which is a high adventure program that includes an over night camp out away from camp. Meet at Church at 8:00 am Saturday, departing at 8:30 am.

We received our campsite assignment.  We are in Chinook which is a canvas military tent site.

Summer Camp is drawing near! Here are some more specific costs for merit badge classes and a few reminders.

Merit Badge Fees

  • Archery – $10 for arrow kit
  • Basketry – $14 for 3 kits
  • Leatherwork – $6 – 12 depending on kit
  • Metalworking – $20
  • Rifle Shooting – Approx $18
  • Indian Lore – $12 for Bone Choker kit
  • Shotgun Shooting – $22
  • Woodcarving – $1 – $18 depending on kit

Priest Lake

Summer Camp Meeting

There will be a summer camp meeting at 6:30 on Monday, June 28th.  The meeting is for both parents and scouts.  We will be firming up drivers, getting schedules and answering any questions.

Paula Judah will also be giving EpiPen training at 7:00 for all interested adults.
